*The class levels listed below are only guidelines. Class placement is also based on skill level and previous dance experience and therefore class placement will be left to teacher's /owner's discretion.
CLASS OBSERVATION
We know how much fun we have in class, but we want you to get to see it too.Observation day will be announced in studio and on this site bi-monthly so you have an opportunity to see what we are up to!
This class is for the child who loves to "move". If this is your child, they will have a blast as they are led in organized play with music led dance activities, basic tumbling, balance beam excercises and trampoline fun. This class begins to teach basic classroom skills to include: following directions; working well with others and imagination building. We will keep their interest with a rotating and versatile class itinerary that includes music and theme variation as well as props that add to the fun.
Please Note: Children do not have to be potty trained to register for these classes. However, if your child is not potty trained, we request that parents remain at the studio during the class for necessary restroom break assistance.
This class is for the little one who is ready to embark upon their first journey in a true "dance" class. It is the follow-up class to Mini Movers. This tap and ballet class begins by teaching the ultimate basics of dance to include balance, discipline, memory, and body movement awareness. We incorporate technical learning with plenty of imagination, props, and music created to spur the urge to learn dance.
Please Note: Children should be potty trained to register for this class..
In this versatile class, we will expand the usual programs by splitting the class into two sections. Your child will spend half of the class earning the fundamentals of ballet and the other half tap dance. This is a great option for the little dancer who longs to broaden her horizons, or for a child who is not sure which discipline they may prefer. They will learn both a tap and ballet routine to perform at our spring showcase in June.
This class is a recreational class that provides your little one with the opportunity to learn basic tumbling skills to include use of mats, trampoline and balance beam. This class is held to music with a focus on fun as well as basic classroom skills such as following directions, patience and attention. This can be a non-Showcase class that has no registration deadline.
In this combination class, students will have the opportunity to be exposed to tap, jazz and ballet dance while learning and working on the basic steps and technique that encompasses these types of dance. This class is for the beginner that is ready for a little more time in the studio and a greater amount of content than is included in our level I combo. The knowledge gained in these three separate styles will be demonstrated in our end of the year showcase dances.
In this class, your future Broadway dancer will learn jazz dances to songs from some of the most popular and beloved musicals such as: Annie, Tarzan, The Sound of Music, Cinderella or to original productions created by Momentum Dance. This class allows your dancer to work on expression and gain confidence with silly acting exercises and games, all while learning basic fundamental jazz technique. This is the perfect class for the light-hearted dancer, drama student, budding actress or any child looking to simply have fun!
In this class, dancers will begin to improve their basic tap skills by working through and perfecting various levels of steps with increasing difficulty. There will be an emphasis on foot rhythm and combinations to both teach and challenge the dancer. All of this knowledge will be demonstrated in a routine full of technique and excitement.
In this class, we will improve your dancers technical skill by working important exercises at the barre as well as center floor combinations to continue understanding positions of the body, turn-out, placement and correct usage of dance terminology. Your dancer will improve on strength, balance, flexibility, rhythm, and musicality while learning skills that will carry into all other forms of dance.
Lyrical dance is often seen as a meshing of jazz and ballet styles. It is an emotional type of dance with choreography that is created to interpret the lyrics of a song. This class is an opportunity for your dancer to continue to strengthen their dance technique through turns, leaps, and footwork while learning the art of expression and storytelling through purposeful movements containing style, fluidity, and grace.
This fused class takes fun and funk and pairs it with development and technique to create a dance class where attitude and poise is learned and expressed through creative and exciting choreography. Students will work on leaping and turning as well as learning combinations to modern jazz and age -appropriate hip-hop styles, in this fast- paced class that provides the ultimate dance experience.
This class is for the dancer looking for an exciting class that is high energy and high technique. Dancers will work on increased flexibility with stretching and solid warm-up. Then they will move on to technique based progressions and stylized and fast-paced combinations for a class that is sure to bring the heat.
In this class, your future Broadway dancer will learn Broadway jazz dances to songs from some of the most popular and beloved musicals, such as:Hairspray, Grease, Chicago, Legally Blonde and more. We will also perform acting exercises during class that will improve dramatic dancing and promote self-confidence. This one class allows your dancer the opportunity to act, lip-sink and dance all while having a blast and learning imporatant skills that will lead to years of confidence and a future of entertainment.
This class will focus on working and perfecting various rhythms, new modern style and fast-paced intricate combinations and exercises. Not only will we aim to improve upon current technique and past tap knowledge, but we will include fresh and modern tap choreography that will leave each dancer feeling like they are learning brand new exciting steps and skills.
These technical classes focus on total body technique. It consists of highly stylized movements and exercises at the barre to teach positions of the body, turn-out, placement and correct usage of dance terminology. Your dancer will improve on strength, balance, flexibility, rhythm, and musicality through floor-work and adagio and allegro, to create and inspire beauty and grace in ballet and life.

This class is for the experienced dancer looking for a class that will challenge them every step of the way. During this hour class, we will warm-up, follow with turning and leaping progressions and stylized combinations to challenge the mind and body. Experimenting with and mastering multiple combinations, routines and styles will be the goal of this class. It is important to fill this class with dancers wanting to be inside the studio working hard while pushing themselves outside of their comfort zone.
This class is for dancers who have taken ballet for at least 3 years and are wanting to make dancing on pointe a part of their dance future. We will work at the barre on exercises to strengthen feet and muscles and to begin to understand the techniques involved in pointe that will make for a safe and positive transition onto pointe.
This class is for ballet trained dancers that have met proper guidelines for pointe dancing. We utilize all of our ballet technique both at the barre and center floor to begin to acquire and hone new skills and strength for dancing "en pointe".
Private lessons are available upon request for registered and non-registered dancers alike in any style or level. Feel free to inquire about the private, open studio time for special event routines as well.
These classes are offered for dancers wishing for some studio time where they are able to decide what they work on. It provides them studio space and time with an instructor to work toward an individual goal or on an individual technique. (Be sure to see the calendar for scheduled classes) ($3.00 per dancer per class)
"A CHANCE TO DANCE" FREE CLASSES
Free classes are offered throughout the year in various styles for both registered and non-registered dancers alike. They are geared at an intermediate level so that anyone wishing to participate will feel as comfortable as possible.

This body conditioning class provides a revitalizing workout combining ballet, yoga, and pilates principles with low impact aerobics. This class also focuses on stretching and flexibility which promotes increased circulation and therefore, weight loss. Body Focus classes are an excellent way to get in shape and gain strength, flexibility, and body confidence. This class is offered up to three times a week for optimum results.
This class provides an opportunity to learn the basics behind some of the most popular ballroom dances. You and your partner will learn feel, steps and terminology to various ballroom dances such as The Waltz, Cha-Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive, along with a short routine that can be performed at weddings or other special events. Ballroom Dancing offers a great way to reconnect with your partner, as well as a fun activity to try with friends.
